I’m not sure why, but it seems like every time I open up this blog to do some writing, I get stuck. I have no idea what to write, or if I even want to write at all.

Hey, look on the bright side. At least you are not in the throes of a horrid, nightmarish relapse.
Take care

You are so right. I haven’t had to take a drink in over a year and a half now.
And that’s a miracle.
Thank you for reminding me of that.
I asked the question on another comment, How long have you been sober?
Well, I just found out.
Over a year and a half. Thats great. and miserable at the same time.
I know. I’ve been sober about about 15 years now. But, I still remember.
You said, When you open your blog to write something you get stuck and don’t know what to write.
I have a suggestion. Turn that around. Don’t open your blog unless you have something you want to write about.
No pressure to say something. It is supposed to be enjoyable and useful, not a source of displeasure & aggravation.
Peace
Great and miserable at the same time. Exactly!
You are right about not opening the blog unless I have something to say. Without the alcohol, there has to be something to distract me from the circus in my head. Or to shut it down.
Things like the internet, television, porn, religion, all work as distractions.
But I’m starting to learn that conscious contact, through working the program, actually removes the stuff, rather than simply distracting me from it.
Thanks for the comments!
I agree with Franklin, there isn’t a rule that says once you have a blog you must write. what about a notebook? My best blog posts come into my head when I’m doing something else, they are lost forever.
Congratulations on a year and a half!
Thank you, Anji! And I’m agreeing with Franklin now myself!
