Using Travel Time
In yesterday’s post about creating a fantastic day, one thing that I forgot to mention that I did was this: I pulled out my audio book copy of The Science of Mind and started listening to it in the car.
The choices I have today, on my commute to work, are to listen to music, to talk radio, or to tapes.
Listening to music on the radio is a good thing, and does add enjoyment to my drive. But I only hear what I’m told I’m supposed to like: sometimes I get quality, sometimes not so much.
Talk radio is sometimes entertaining, but, as far as I’m concerned, adds very little value to my day.
Audio books, especially those related to spirituality or personal development, provide the best of everything. They provide both entertainment and food for the higher self. And I’m starting to take advantage of any opportunity to input positive messages.
If you are like I was just a couple of weeks ago and driving a vehicle without a tape or CD player, I would encourage you to think about what you are programming your mind with as you drive.
You may come to the conclusion (as I sometimes did) that silence on the drive was the best alternative.
