Since I’ve set up two other sites for the quotes and success articles, I went ahead and changed the tagline/description for this site to “Confessions of a Self Improvement Junkie”.

I still remember when I bought my first self-improvement book. I was in 5th grade, and it was called “How to be Popular”. I can’t remember the author or publisher. I bought it through a book buying program at our school. And I remember being mortified when the shipment came in to the school and my teacher opened the boxes, pulled it out, and announced the names of the books and who had bought which one.

Yup, mortified…

My problem has never been in the knowledge arena of self-help… it’s been in the application of any of the hundreds of forms of self help out there. As Anthony Robbins said in Unlimited Power, it’s getting yourself to take action that makes the difference.

And like Bob Doyle says in his “How to make “Self-Improvement” Work Every Time!” article, I was always so focused on the problem (me), I could never open myself up to the solution, and would just keep attracting more of what I always had.

I’m trying to live differently today… no, I AM living differently today.

One thing that has helped me tremendously with taking action is Simpleology 101 - The Simple Science of Getting What You Want. It’s taught me both how to take action and how to focus that action on specific goals (Simpleology refers to them as targets) so that I can get the results that I want. And best of all, it’s a free course, and a free course with major substance. I just can’t say enough about it.

Have a fantastic day!
