Smoked the Last Cigarette
That’s it. I’m done. Finito.
I will no longer suck on cancer sticks.
I have way too much to live for. And I also want that quality of life to be the best it can possibly be.
I am using Nicotine Replacement Therapy (the patch). And I’m not going to feel frickin’ guilty about that. It’s an improvement, and a much safer alternative to cigarettes. At least the habit and psychological aspects of quitting can be dealt with for awhile before tackling the physical withdrawals.
All I have to do to make today a successful day is not smoke a cigarette. That’s it. That’s all.
And I can, with the help of my Higher Power, others who have gone before me, counseling, and all of the other tools that are out there.
Bottom line, though, it’s my choice. All of those weapons in this war are there for me to use, but it’s up to me to pick them up.
Thank you, God, for giving me the desire to stop.

Congratulations on giving up the cigs. I quit smoking about 5 years ago and it was the best thing I have ever done as far as my health is concerned.
Good luck…you can do it!
Thanks, Crazy! I appreciate the encouragement. Everytime someone tells me that they have done it, I remind myself that I can too.
