The following is from Wikipedia’s Napoleon Hill article:

The success formula simply put is this: Begin with an objective in mind. Think about what achieving this objective will do for you, and why it is so important. Focus on your desire for that objective consistently, at least twice a day. Eventually, your desire will be ingrained into your subconscious, and you will begin to notice opportunities that you would have overlooked in the past. By making a habit of siezing every opportunity, you will find yourself steadily moving towards your goal. Napoleon attributed this to communication with the divine or “infinite intelligence,” but given the apparent psychological basis of the formula, as stated, a supernatural explanation might be considered unnecessary.

You can’t get much simpler than that. And pretty much every other success technology out there incorporates this formula. Some have added on to it, some have explained it with either psychology or mysticism, but they all have the same basic elements.

It’s much easier to write and teach this stuff than it is to put it into practice.
