Thinking of Blue Elephants

I got an article in my email this morning that I really enjoyed, and promptly posted to my Success Articles blog. It’s called 3 Steps to Completely Eliminating Problems from Your Life, written by Tony Mase, and got me thinking again about how much I focus on what I don’t want, rather than what I do want.
The article reminded me of Emmet Fox’s “Golden Key” essay. In that one, Fox suggests that whenever we are faced with a situation that is undesireable, we turn our attention from the situation and focus on God instead. Not on how God will solve our problem or fix our difficulty… just focus on God.
Tony Mase really took this idea and did a great job of using more modern language to explain the process. I know that, for me, all day at work I kept reminding myself to not focus on the problems, focus on the solutions. Or as my wife taught me… just find something to be happy about!

Great article.
That is exactly what I came to call SonVision a while back.
It is a Divine Spiritual Principle. It cannot fail, if whole heartedly praticed.
The human mind can only entertain one thought at a time. Make it a good correct thought at all times.
I have experimented with this in my own life and have found it to be true. I even went so far as to use wrong thoughts purposely in order to see the results. Good was reversed every time.
When I changed my thoughts back to the good and correct thoughts: good began to happen.

Thanks for the comment, Franklin. It really is amazing how simple it is and how well it works… I sometimes wonder how the human race really fell. When I practice these principles, I don’t need to wait for paradise, because I’m already there.
