Emotional Freedom Techniques

If you're new here, you may want to get free updates via email or RSS. Thanks for visiting!

Yesterday I posted a link to the free Emotional Freedom Techniques manual. Today I’ve got some free videos so you can see it in action.

I’m completely fascinated by this stuff. As I’ve opened my mind and allowed myself to realize that, yes, my physical body IS important, I’ve allowed myself to become more open to ideas like the ones EFT proposes.

What mainly interests me about the techniqe is it’s application in the area of addictions and in removing blocks to wealth creation. I was first introduced to it through the Wealth Beyond Reason program, but I always kind of thought of it as a silly little aside… even though the program’s facilitator stresses over, and over, and over again that it is integral to the program. But who is he? ;) I’ll do it my way, I’ll figure it out… who needs to follow directions???

I do. I need to follow the directions of those who have done what I want to do. I need to stop trying to reinvent the wheel, and focus on using what’s already been learned. Only then can it be built upon.

There was also a Simpleology Live Learning Event on EFT a couple of days ago that I missed. I need to check in with them to see if they are planning on posting the audio recording of it.

Anyway, back to the videos. They are pretty short; the longest is just under 4 minutes. But it provides so much more insight than the book does by itself.

I’m working up the courage to quit smoking [again], and I think that this is going to be one of the tools I use this time. I’ve been practicing some general tapping, and I do notice an opening up, almost like a weight lifting off of me. I used the techniques to remove some generalized anxiety about writing, and was able to bang out quite a bit of material.

But I’m reserving complete judgement for now. It is strange stuff, the tapping and the singing and the eye rolling. But maybe what I need, especially for the smoking, is something far off of the beaten path.

I’ll keep you posted on my progress!
