My Own Principle Obstacle
Because of a mention in Franklin’s SonVision I searched for and downloaded an ebook called The Ideal Made Real - Applied Metaphysics for Beginners by Christian D. Larson (I’ve added it to my Free Ebooks page if you’d like to get yourself a copy).
In the introduction, the author makes a statement that hit me hard:
To proceed, the principle obstacle must first be removed; and this obstacle is the tendency to lose faith whenever we fail to make real the ideal the very moment we expect to do so.
Yup… that was me in the past. But today, I’ve made the decision to not allow outward appearances to dictate my thinking. Since all change is from the inside out, if I allow what I see on the outside affect what I’m thinking and feeling on the inside… well, I’m screwed.
The circumstances of my life are only a cause of things to the extent that I allow them to affect what’s going on within, which is where the true cause is. It’s a subtle trick… I see the “problems”, so I think about the problems, which causes more of the same problems (Esther Hicks gives a great explanation of this in the movie The Secret.)
Join me today in creating your reality from the inside out.
