Law of Attraction Teachers on Larry King Live, and Gratitude

I just got done watching the second installment of “Beyond Positive Thinking” (I think that’s the name of the series) on Larry King Live.

It was… amazing, inspirational, humbling, enlightening…

And most importantly… it reminded me of gratitude. It seemed to be a topic that was really focused on by the guests (especially Joe Vitale).

But never mind that they talked about it… one of the things that I forget is that I have one of the greatest teachers of this stuff right here in my own home: my wife.

As I’ve said before… I’m quite the self-help addict. I can use things that would normally be considered positive and turn them around into simply ways to distract myself from the real issues of my life. It’s much easier to read a book, watch a DVD, listen to an audio, than to actually take action toward creating my own better life.

Tonight, I asked my wife to watch the show with me. Normally, she isn’t that interested in things like this. But the interesting thing is, she knows more about this stuff, and how to put it into practice, than I ever have. Sure, I can quote Wayne Dyer, but she will live his teachings without even knowing it.

As we watched together, pausing frequently to discuss (sometimes heatedly) our opinions of what was being asked and taught, I think I finally really got it.

There is something really cool about being with a person who doesn’t do a lot of studying of these principles… but who lives them on a daily basis.

So my own gratitude tonight is for my wife. I’m grateful for knowing her and having the opportunity to love her each and every day.
