“The Science of Getting Rich” and “The Secret”

Did you know that the “little book” that Rhonda Byrne refers to in the opening of the movie “The Secret” is “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace Wattles? I had no idea until just a little while ago; I found out on the discussion boards for Rebecca Fine’s Science of Getting Rich for Practical Geniuses course (which is fabulous, by the way. But I’m holding off on writing about it until I complete the course).

Tonight, I was adding a link to an audio version of the book to my collection of free personal development ebooks, and I thought I’d look and see if I could verify that it was true that this was THE BOOK… and I found my proof, straight from the horse’s mouth.

So what’s my point? Maybe if you’re a fan of “The Secret”, you’ll want to check out the book that started it all.

But don’t do what I did a few years back when I first read “The Science of Getting Rich”. I kept waiting for the “Formless Stuff” (Mr. Wattles’ way of referring to the energy of the Universe) to take form instantly. I somehow (conveniently) missed the part about “efficient action“, and “doing things in the certain way”.

Action. Doing.

Those often missed components to The Law of Attraction.

Huh, “The Science of Getting Rich” isn’t on my reading list…

It is now!

Actually, I am going to grab that audio ebook. Very nice!

I think you’ll enjoy it, SCapitalist…

The audio version is especially interesting, since the language has been updated a bit for modern times.

Thanks for coming by!
