Andy Wibbles’ 30-Day Secret Challenge
(7)Posted on February 19th, 2007Lyman ReedUncategorized
Andy Wibbles is running a 30-day Secret Challenge.
He wrote quite the little rant a while back about the movie, saying that in essence it was the same old stuff in new clothes. He’s right… none of it is new. What’s new is the delivery, and the way that the movie has caused the ideas contained within it to reach such a wide audience (Larry King and Oprah… can’t get much wider than that.)
He also mentioned in another post that he really likes James Ray, because of his focus on the action side of achieving your goals. I’m right there with you, Andy.
I hope to hear you all on the first conference call!

Thanks so much for helping to promote the challenge!

I haven’t seen the movie, although I did catch the stories on Oprah. I’m a big fan of The Four Agreements, and I can really see how these ideas all seem like different ways of exlaining the same things. What I’ve found most interesting is how the “Law of Attraction” and the vibrating frequencies, etc. are sort of a different way of describing karma. I’ve been thinking about how these three things are all pretty much the same thing, and your post gave me the opportunity to finally stick all of those thoughts together in one coherent paragraph - so thanks!

Andy - You’re welcome. I’m really looking forward to it. I think that there will be an interesting mix of participants.
lornadoone - The Four Agreements is a great book! I noticed that you started blogging about it recently; I’ll be watching for and reading those posts closely.
I’d strongly suggest investing the $4.95 and watching the movie, if your internet connection can handle it. You can check out the first 20 minutes of it on Google Video.

I definitely need to watch it! I already spent a couple of hours this weekend creating a “vision board” with the things I desire/deserve from the universe. It was a very fun project, and I’ll probably write about it next week - once I’m done with the Four Agreements series of posts.

You’re right Lyman, it’s nothing new but it’s all in the delivery. I had heard the secret before in Think and Grow Rich and The Science of Getting Rich but I have to admit that they didn’t quite impact me as much as the movie did. I guess we all can be susceptible to fancy packaging!

Hi Mark - The movie had a huge impact on me as well. I’d read a load of books, but the visualization of the “thought waves” in the movie helped me to really see what my emotions and visualizations (both good and bad) were doing to my life, and to the world.

This stinks, but I won’t be able to listen live to the first call… I’ve got another commitment. I’m really glad he’s going to record them.
