I Will Follow You…

I’ve joined with a number of other bloggers and joined the I Follow “Movement”, started by Randa of Randa Clay Design.

I tried this once before, because of a post by Chris Cree at SuccessCREEations, but the plugin wasn’t playing nicely with the WordPress theme I had at that point, so I had to disable it. But now, with this kick butt Semiologic Theme, it’s running smooth as silk (so far…).

The short of it is this: if you leave a comment on this blog, and you put a link in said comment, the blog software I use won’t try to keep the search engines from indexing it. It will also allow the URL field on the comments form to be indexed as well. (If you don’t have any frickin’ idea what I’m talking about, then it’s not important… feel free to skip the rest of this post.)

While this was probably a good idea when blogs were first introduced, we now have better ways of dealing with comment spam, like moderation and Akismet (both of which I use here.)
