I love them both, but with some exceptions. I love love love the audio version of the book The Secret - not the audio version of the movie. The movie is kinda cheesy, but I do so love Bob Proctor and Bob Doyle. Great couple of guys.
I thought it was a little strange in the movie when Jack Canfield said he has a "Wife to die for."
Strange choice of words when you're talking about what talking about things can do or not do in your life.
Anyway, that's my take. I've done some powerful manifestations with what I learned from the Secret, but I do still love Rhonda Byrne's reading of the book on audio. Didn't like the book to read for myself so much.

Thanks for sharing, Stan... for some people, Esther/Abraham's style may not be a fit. It's great that there are so many options out there, isn't it?

I have seen only the extended version of the secret a long with "what the bleep do we know," and if my comment gets removed then this site is subjective and against everything she says.

I really enjoy the "secret" DVD, but i feel she talks way too much. I understand Abraham's marketing scheme, but If she was a good teacher she would let the students speak. We are all depressed in a wonderful world so let's realize it for ourselves. We do not need a person with no degree attempting to act as a psychiatrist or a "metaphysician." There is absolutely no mini version of life, which brings me to my conclusion that i am not partaking in the "secret of life,"...but this whole thing makes me wonder, who am i going to be forced to deal with when i am out of college? Sorry, there is only one Abe in my heart and he died in 1865..."If i was two faced, why would i have this one on?" -Lincoln

You're welcome, Vickie. And it's sincere. I'm still fairly new to really studying the Abraham teachings; I had heard of them before the original version of The Secret was released, but it was that movie that got me to explore them more. Before that, I just thought "Oh, great, a crazy chick taking people's money." Now, while my rational mind is still out on the channeling thing, it's mattering less and less: what they teach is so empowering, the messenger has gotten swallowed up in the message. It's so different from a lot of the other LOA teachers, in that it's not a cult of personality (at least to me it isn't).

Thanks again for what you've provided.

Thanks for the compliment Lyman :) When I first started my blog, it had a bit of a different focus, but now, I am realizing how Abraham is a very important teacher in my life. They may not be for everyone, depending on where people are in their stream, but for those feel that there is a piece missing, they may find their way to Abraham.

I have both copies of the Secret but haven't compared them. I am thinking that the second version actually takes out a lot of the "vibration talk". At least that is what was said on one of their recent CDs. It could actually work in Esther and Jerry's favor being taken out. Taking out the Abraham help leaves a void in the newer version of the Secret DVD. It may make people seek out more the key to making The Secret work and they will be lead directly to Abraham :) It's a win-win for both Rhonda and Esther and Jerry.

Hi Lyman,
I watched the extended version of "The Secret" online and while it was still inspirational for me it had lost the magic and the whole embodiment of the teachings of "The Law of Attraction". I own 2 copies of the original but did not find the extended version to be worthy of spending the money on!
The teachings of Abraham have been one of the most beloved and appreciated gifts of my life. Why learn from a student when you can learn from the master!

You're welcome, Cardin... and you're right. Esther and Jerry did very well for themselves before the Secret, and will continue to do so. Because they practice what they preach.

Thanks for the comment!
