A few days ago, there was a nice surprise waiting for me in my inbox.

Aaron Potts honored me with the Courageous Blogger Award. :)

Courageous Blogger Award

According to Christy, the original creator of the award, this one is meant “For those bloggers who are battling or have battled with physical and mental illness, those who are survivors of abuse, poverty, or who have overcome other challenges in life. Those who serve in the military or work/volunteer in dangerous situations in order to provide a service or to help others. This award is for the strong, the brave, and the courageous.”

Strong, Brave, Courageous? OK, I’ll take Aaron’s word for it. Thank you, my friend.

Along with the Courageous Blogger Award, there are four other awards that Christy has created to honor people in the blogosphere. Here are my picks:

Inspirational Blogger - Phil Gerbyshak - Make It Great! with Phil Gerbyshak

Unless you’re already dead, you just can’t help being inspired by Phil. I wrote up a review of his book, 10 Ways to Make It Great, a while back, and I still refer back to it when I need a reminder of just how I can Make It Great! Phil, thank you for your inspiration. This one’s for you:

Inspirational Blogger Award

Thoughtful Blogger - Liz Strauss - Successful Blog

If you ever want to feel welcome, just find a post on Successful Blog and comment on it. Liz will welcome you with open arms, and encourage you to join the conversation. Her weekly SOB picks bring people into the conversation, not just on her blog, but the blogosphere in general. And I didn’t realize it, but even though my domain name changed, I’m still an SOB! :) My badge will be back up ASAP. Liz, you are the epitome of thoughtful blogging, so here ya go:

Thoughtful Blogger Award

Creative Blogger - Pamm - My Secret Spiritual Dance

I mean, come on now… just look at this blog! :) I don’t think I’ve seen one that uses color and imagery so well. Not too much, not too little. Thank you, Pamm… you’re my pick to receive the:

Creative Blogger Award

Courageous Blogger - Carolynn Manning - Thoughts and Philosophies

Carolynn is one of my true inspirations, but for different reasons than Phil. I know that I passed another award to her just a few weeks ago, but so what! My blog, I’ll send as many awards her way as I want. :) She deserves them, and she’s my pick for:

Courageous Blogger Award

Charity Blogger - Grant - Million Dollar Project

I’ve loved the concept Grant’s blog since I first found it. He donates 60% of the income from his site to charity. 60%! Now that’s what I call a Charity Blogger.

Charity Blogger Award

Thank you all for helping people to create their better lives! :)

  1. Wow, Lyman! What can I say after I say I’d better get my Courageous self down to the business of baton passing? How’s this? Thank you, thank you, thank you.

And congratulations to you, too. Aaron knows what he’s talking about.

A little off-topic, you were on my mind when I wrote yesterday’s post at ProductivityGoal. Is there an award for that yet? :)
