What Would You Ask Jack Canfield?

Today (August 1, 2007), Jack Canfield is hosting his monthly Ask Jack Canfield Teleseminar. This is a live, free event in which Jack answers questions submitted by individuals during the previous month. While I’m usually not a person who likes to sit with a phone stuck to his ear for 70 minutes, I got so much out of the last teleseminar that I heard him on, I’m going to listen in live this time.

Here’s a sampling of what got asked (and answered) last month:

  • “How do I specifically use the law of attraction and success principles as a daily routine to attract an intimate partner into my life?
  • “I find that the suggested techniques, affirmations and visualization focus on the younger crowd, busy in developing career and family. I have just retired and my focus is not so much into building up but in remaining healthy, using my brain to something good / worthwhile and spiritual development. Do you have specific suggestions for the retired crowd out there?”
  • “What would you recommend the first 3 and the last 3 things to do when you wake up and before you go to sleep?”
  • “Can Christians practice the teachings in the Secret or do the principals of the Secret and Law of Attraction clash with Christian beliefs that God is in control?”
  • “How do you get past the confusion and inaction created by over-analyzing?”
  • “How do I find a mentor? I have no one who supports and encourages me in my new business as a distributor for a direct selling company, or any other aspect in my life. Any suggestions?”
  • “What is the best way to share the ideas of the “Law of Attraction” and your success principles, with someone you care about who is depressed and in a rut, without sounding like you are proselytizing?”

For this month’s call, I submitted a question asking him about his relationship with W. Clement Stone. Stone was one of Canfield’s mentors, and I’ve always been fascinated by Stone and his work. We’ll see if he takes my question on. :)

I realize that this is short notice… the call starts in just a few hours. And if you subscribe to this blog via email, by the time you get this it will already have happened. If you did miss it, you can always check out the Ask Jack Canfield Archives, where past recordings are offered as mp3 downloads. While the live teleseminars are free, the downloads of past seminars cost $15.

Of course, I’ll be sharing my own notes on the call right here.

I’m curious… if you are planning on participating in the call, what did you ask? Or what would you ask a leading self-help expert like Canfield?

  1. I’ll ask, “How do I know if it’s time for me to have to give up something and move on, or to put more efforts for it to be successful?”

It currently happens now, and I’m confused what to do. Give up one of my projects and move to another project, or pump up more effort?

  2. That’s a great question, Aldian… one I’ve often asked myself. We’ll see if Canfield addresses it in the call (20 more minutes until it starts!)

I know that Seth Godin’s latest book, The Dip, is all about this subject. I haven’t read it yet, but do plan to.

Has anyone out there read this? Any suggestions?

  3. It’s the first time I heard about The Dip, Lyman. I could use some objective and personal review before buying and reading it ;)
