Bob Doyle on the Law of Attraction, Science, the Media, and Religion

Bob Doyle, creator of the Wealth Beyond Reason program (which I’m a proud member of), has added another video to his Bob Responds page, headed Hear my position on the Law of Attraction, Science, the Media, and Religion:
I’ve still got a special feeling in my heart for Bob Doyle and his teachings. It was from him that I first learned that it’s our vibrations that are the major player in the state of our lives, and he was also one of the people who first introduced me to Abraham-Hicks. It was also through his program that I first learned about Emotional Freedom Techniques.
The major lesson that I got out of this video is that it doesn’t matter what the critics say. I personally don’t know of anyone who is trying to “convert” anyone to a belief in the Law of Attraction. And if they are, they don’t get it themselves. It has nothing to do with changing anyone but oneself, and most people are teaching it out of the sheer joy of seeing other’s lives improve. Of course, there are scammers out there, who will use whatever is currently popular to bilk people out of their money. But I really believe that most people out there sharing this information in whatever way they can are doing it just because it brings them joy to do so.
Another point that really hit home is where he says that “If you don’t believe in the Law of Attraction, you’re going to attract all of the evidence you need to support your position.” He’s not saying that you have to believe in the law - he’s just asking us to not not believe.
If it’s a law, then it works no matter what. Law of Attraction teachers are not teaching how to make it work, any more than someone could teach you how to make gravity work. It just does. But they can teach how to use it to our advantage. Once again with the gravity comparison - all that a teacher of the Law of Gravity could do is keep people from falling off of cliffs, or how to fly a plane.
To be completely blunt, I really don’t care if you believe in the Law of Attraction or not. If you are attracted to the information presented by teachers of the Law of Attraction, that’s great! If not, that’s great too! Just use what works, and drop what doesn’t. It’s not words or titles or dogmas we are looking for (while those can all be helpful in explaining concepts) - it’s happiness that’s the final goal.

Lyman,
I just watched this video and a few of the other videos over at Bob’s site earlier today. He is so matter of fact and professional about concepts that cause so much angst among other people - I love his style!
I might put up a post next week pointing to one or two of his latest videos. That is, if I can squeeze in a normal post in between getting caught up on meme debt!
LOL, Aaron! I’m buried in that myself! I’ve got them all in the draft phase… but they haven’t quite made it live yet.
Liz - thanks for the pointer… I’ll take a look at that.
Lyman, I love that you highlight how someone who doesn’t believe in LOA will attract that proof. Which is proof of LOA in itself. lol But, nevertheless, you’re absolutely right in that it isn’t necessary to convince anyone of anything.
I think lots of folks are waking up to this info in their perfect timing - and I would even say in droves. It’s a pleasure to be reading posts from someone who is helping others along that path so well!
Keep up the great work!
Thanks, Jeannette.
I think you are right that people need to do this in their own time. Sometimes I wonder “Why didn’t I pay attention the first time I read Wattles’ ‘The Science of Getting Rich’???” I just wasn’t ready. I’m glad I am now. And for those who aren’t, they’ve got an eternity.
