You Can Heal Your Life
Louise Hay has lived an extraordinary life, and now a movie is being made about it. It’s slated for a December, 2007 release - you can see a trailer for it at http://www.youcanhealyourlifemovie.com/
There are some fascinating people in it, like Esther and Jerry Hicks and Dr. Wayne Dyer, and I’m looking forward to it’s release.
I think it was five or six years ago that my sister-in-law gave me a copy of her book “You Can Heal Your Life” - which caused a radical shift in my thinking.
It was from that book that I first learned that “The Point of Power is in the Present Moment.”
That really is a powerful statement. It recognizes that no matter what happened yesterday, an hour ago, or even a minute ago, you have the power to change anything you want to about your life… right now.
And no matter what you think may happen in the future, you have the power to affect it… right now.
Right now really is the first moment of the rest of your life.
Did you miss it? That’s OK… here’s another now for you.
Just pay attention to it. The present moment is glorious, and it contains all that you need. It’s the only place we can live, the only place that we can grow, and the only place that we can change.
Right now is all that we have.
Which is why it’s where the power lies.

Lyman Reed

Louise Hay and her ideas about healing have played an important part in my spiritual healing over the past 10 years. At first I resisted her ideas because I didn’t want to admit that I was responsible for everything that happens in my life. Now, I agree with her and am empowered by that knowledge.
Patricia… they’ve really done the same for me as well. I remember getting this flowery covered book by some woman that I’d heard of but never really explored and thinking “Oh, great…” - just full of sarcasm.
Then I started reading, and my thinking hasn’t been the same since.
