Walking To Rome
Aaron from Today is that Day has a great article up on The Fast and Easy way to Build an Empire.
Two things I got from this article:
- We are all living the way we want to live, whether we base our lives on selfishness or altruism.
- If you want to get something done, just ask yourself before each of your actions: “Is this going to get me what I want?”
A couple of people in the comments on the article mentioned that it reminded them of two of the major points in Simpleology - The Law of Straight Lines and one of the Two Most Important Decisions in Your Life: “Will you take actions that bring you toward your desired target or away from your desired target?” (thanks for the reminders, Maria and John!)
Be The Change
Steve Olson has written an excellent article on An Easy Way to be the Person Who Makes a Difference. It’s a great reminder for the holiday season while we are running all over each other with Christmas “cheer.”
Thank you, Steve.
Gifts!
Speaking of the season, Nneka of Balanced Life Center is giving us some ideas for gifts to give the person who has everything. So far, she’s told us about Service and the benefits it brings to both the server and the one who serves; Hugs (there’s nothing wrong with a man hug!); and Forgiveness, with the reminder that even if you are forgiving another, you benefit the most.
The Manifest Station
Here’s a last minute entry courtesy of Brad Yates, Master EFT Teacher. The latest issue of his newsletter mentioned the trailer for a movie that has just been released - One. The movie looks great, but it also turned me on to The Manifest-Station, which is, in their words:
The Manifest-Station is a Law of Attraction created enlightened internet TV channel 100% dedicated to prosperity consciousness, enlightened wisdom, inner healing, Universal laws and teachings.
Our mutual intent is to provide a positive, uplifting viewing experience focused on teaching Universal laws and principles that will bring joy, hope, fulfillment, and passion to each viewer. Our primary goal is to build a bridge between self and soul that helps bring each person into alignment with their true-life purpose and a remembering of who they really are.
We invite you to allow this powerful viewing experience to alter your being and create a deeper connection with your own higher truth.
Oh, and they didn’t mention it there, but viewing the regular programming is 100% free! I know I’ll be spending some time there this week.
And speaking of this week… make it a great one!

Hi Lyman, thanks for the shout out. You have a wealth of information here.
In Spirit,
Nneka
You’re welcome, Nneka… and thanks again for the gift ideas.
Steve Olson’s article reminds me of why I refuse to be a part of holiday madness. When I make my Possibility List (I don’t write To Do lists), I ask myself what I can do in the spirit of the season, with feelings of love, joy and generosity of spirit.
Hi,
‘we are running all over each other with Christmas “cheer.”’ That’s a great way to describe it. This was a great blog! Thanks!
Mom
Jean - that’s a great way to set out our intentions for the day… not just “gotta do this, gotta do that”, but reminding ourselves of who we want to be as we do them.
Mom - I’m glad you liked it.
Lyman,
Thanks for the link love, and I’m glad you got so much out of that post!
In keeping with the Rome references, you know what they say: Rome wasn’t built in a day!
One step at a time towards are goals is what it takes.
Thanks again, Lyman.
You’re welcome, Aaron… and thanks again for writing it.
“Wasn’t built in a day” is really something we need to remember. But it will be, as long as, like your article says, keep building.
Lyman, Thanks for sharing all this great info!!
Thank *you*, Seeker, for the feedback.
