I always love watching his speeches. Tony Robbins’ Personal Power II program was the first self-help item that I ever paid for (back in 1996). Best $200+ I ever spent. It completely changed my “woe is me” life attitude, and my new “I can do it” attitude led to more wonderful experiences.
I just wish he wouldn’t charge so much for his programs. I know lots of people who like what he has to say but say they can’t afford to buy his programs (they’re at the poverty level and can barely afford food, so saving for a self-help program isn’t on their priority list).
This was an amazing speech! Tony is a truly profound human being and I’ve had the privilege of meeting him numerous times. Best in 2008…
Kristen,
You’re right – there’s still no one better than Tony Robbins to get us into a positive frame of mind!
When it comes to the pricing of his programs, though, I really don’t have a problem with it. I hear what you are saying (I used to be one of those who could barely pay for food), but I think he’s offering much more in what he gives than what he asks for. And considering some of fabulous resources available nowadays (like your own site
), people don’t need to start with a live Tony Robbin’s seminar.
Thanks for the thoughtful comment!
etavitom,
It sure was, wasn’t it! It came out a while back, but I reposted it to test out the video capabilities of this new theme I’m using. And I’m glad I did – it’s a classic.
Hey Lyman,
I love the TED talks! Tony Robbins is great. I also loved Majora Carter and Sir Ken Robinson. There are some absolutely fabulous talks. I can’t wait for the TED talks 08 – Mitch Joel (marketing podcaster and guru) will be among the speakers.
By the way… I like the new look here!
Kirsten
Hi Kirsten!
I’m going to have to check those out… I haven’t seen them yet. Thanks for the recommendations!
And thanks for the compliments on the new look. I’m still tweaking it a bit, but the theme I’m using is really neat.
Hope your 2008 is going great!
