Positive Thinking Day is September 13thI realized something about the article that I published here yesterday.  I may have given the impression that I don’t think that “positive thinking” has a place in our lives.

Nothing could be further from the truth!

When presented with the choice between positive and negative thinking, positive thinking just plain feels better, and when I’m feeling good, good things happen.

The only thing that I know doesn’t work is using positive thinking to cover up emotions that we are stuck in.

But when it comes to using affirmations, EFT, meditation, visualization, or any of the other hundreds of free personal development tools out there – use whatever works for you!

If you have a real problem thinking positively about your future, maybe you could think of it as a game.

Or imagine that you are a computer programmer.  While the programmer is programming, the program isn’t actually running… nothing is happening in the “real” world.  Instructions are being created in order to make the machine do what we want it too.  But I don’t think there’s a computer programmer out there who would say that the computer can already do what they want it to do before they write and run the program.

Otherwise, why would you need the program in the first place?

Positive Thinking Rocks! We just have to make sure that we aren’t using it to hide from our lives.
