What I have found surprising in reading through the body of success literature is how much of it is re-packaged and re-marketed versions of older works. I can hardly think of any contemporary success experts who do not stand on the backs of authors such as Napoleon Hill, Norman Vincent Peal, and Zig Ziglar. It is an interesting point that you bring up about Hill having been inflected by Haanel. I LOVE The Master Key System and found reading it amazing but difficult at times (some lessons requiring a few reads through the really "get it"). Listening to it on audio allowed it to sink in much deeper for me and for easier understanding. Haanel truly was a genius in the way he takes the reader through these steps.
