Thanks for the kind feedback. The 'messy desk syndrome' is one of my personal bugaboos. It's a constant struggle to stay at least semi-organized, but it really pays off for many of us. Whenever I see piles of disorder I can feel my energy sinking. But for those of us who aren't naturally neat, it's not an easy task.

Hiya

Great article!
I believe our environments are a reflection of who we are. What's a more obvious mirror of that than the space and clutter we have around us?
The good thing is the space is always there and the clutter can usually be removed or organised.
As a meditator I recognise that this practice is one of the healthiest ways to be in our own space, away from the clutter of thinking.

Thanks

Excellent article, Sydney!

The "messy desk, messy mind" syndrome is one that I still work on. My wife and I were just discussing how psychologically freeing it is to do the simple things, like making the bed each day before leaving the house. OK, so maybe she was *telling* me how psychologically freeing it is... and she's right, as usual. ;-)

I appreciate you sharing your wisdom with us.
