Positive thinking and its power

The power of positive thinking can help you go through hard times in life. Moments we all have and that can make us have bad humor, anger, rage, depression and a lot of feelings that will help improve the situation.

Definition of optimism

The optimism comes from the Latin word optimus, meaning the best. So optimistic people are always looking for the best of a situation, as they believe that even in the worst of times things just fine. Some people are optimistic by nature, but the good thing is that optimism can be trained to achieve and see life in a more pleasant.


There is an emerging field within psychology that studies the positivism, i.e. the impact of positive attitudes in mental health. Others say it may also affect physical health as well, and that optimists live longer and with less illness than pessimists. This is because the positive attitude enhances the immune system, the cardiovascular system and the body’s ability to handle stress.

Optimism as a lifestyle

In general, optimists believe they are the creator of your own happiness, that your actions create positive results and make positive things happen in your life. Also, do not blame them when negative things happen.

Therefore, adopting a positive thinking brings to the lives of people who practice happiness, success, health and good overall results. However, not everyone apply it correctly to have favorable results in your life. It is very common to see people telling others to think positively when they do not do in your own life.

With positive thoughts and comforting sensations we therefore envision the accomplishments you want to achieve and get. We should note that we draw people who surround us, is instinctive and unconscious. In general, people are moving away from others who are negative, and instead they like to surround you with positive people.

This is because negative words and thoughts do we have thoughts and unhappy states, leading to frustration and sadness.

How to change the thinking

First of all, learn and read a lot about positive thinking, and try to make a change in your life. Do not worry about what others think of you, as long as you’re sure of what you’re doing.

Use your imagination to think of good things, smile, use only positive words-to talk with yourself and with others-, replaces negative thoughts with constructive, repeated assertions … and do not forget that no matter the time you’re living, you must think positively.
