Link Love Gratitude #4
(3)
Here are the sites (that I know about) that linked to Creating a Better Life over the past week or so:
Karen was kind enough to express her gratitude (and encourage others to do the same) in her Joy Links - Appreciation Project. Thanks again for that, Karen!
(Did you know that Karen offers a free copy of The Power Of Your Subconscious Mind by Dr. Joseph Murphy on her site? If you’ve never read it, I’d highly suggest that you pick up a copy from Live the Power today.)
Lorraine included Creating a Better Life in her Gratitude and Love Links. Thank you, Lorraine!
(If you didn’t happen to catch it, be sure to check out my thoughts on Lorraine’s Transform Your Fear Into Power program.)
Ellie linked back here after reading Pointers To Resources For Your Better Life #7 in her Here’s an Appreciation Boost… post. Thanks, Ellie!
(Don’t forget to check out Ellie’s two ebooks - Out With the Old… In With the New! and 4 Steps to Creating the Life You Desire.)
Finally, thanks to Kilroy from Fear And Loathing - The Gonzo Papers for the plug in Do I Owe You An Email Or A Link?
(Kilroy is one of five bloggers participating in the progressive Soup to Nuts blog carnival.)

Aaron Potts is Ticking Me Off! (Pointers Update)
(7)
So I include Aaron’s latest offerings at Personal Development Partners in my Pointers to Resources #7 post just a few hours ago, sing the praises of all that the online community he’s built has to offer, and just about an hour ago I get an email from him…
He’s added more already.
Just about an hour ago, he sent out a link to his Energy Harmonics ebook to all premium and above members of Personal Development Partners, and announced that he’s including full fledged unlimited e-coaching on the subject matter it contains. This book usually goes for 37 bucks on his website… I wouldn’t even know how to price out unlimited e-coaching…
I know that this may sound infomercialish… but is this guy insane???
Aaron probably knows that the majority of the people out there who get a copy of the book won’t even read it.
And he knows that an even smaller number of them will study it.
And that an even smaller number will apply it’s principles to their lives.
And let’s drill down yet another level - even fewer will ask for help when they need it.
Hmmm… and then people wonder why 5% of the individuals in the world control 95% percent of the wealth.
Or why 20% get 80% of things done.
(Please don’t try to dispute my numbers here.. I got them from a very reliable source - I pulled them right out of my… oh, never mind…)
Anyway…
Let’s make a deal, shall we?
Let’s be in the top 5% (which, of course, is contained in the 20% as well).
Sign up for Personal Development Partners, get your copy of Energy Harmonics, and let’s work this guy.
Hey, he’s the one offering!

Gratitude All Over the Place
There are two new gratitude related blog posts I want to point people to:
The first is over at Gratitude Magic (great name for a blog!), and is called The Gratitude Project - Akemi is asking people to write about both the things they’d like to improve and the things they are grateful for in the here and now… and to come back to what they’ve written to see how things have changed. I’ve done this, and the simple act of sitting down and listing the things you are grateful for right now is a powerful activity. Be sure to check out this post for the full instructions.
The second is a neat idea from Karen of Live the Power. She’s also calling it a Gratitude Project, but this one is a little different. Usually, when bloggers and website owners leave comments on blogs, we leave the web address of our own blog or site along with our comment. But Karen is asking people to do something a little different. She’d like us to leave a comment about a blog or individual we are grateful for, and to leave a link to their blog instead of our own. It may sound simple, but it was so different to do… it really felt great! The neat thing is that, looking back over the comments that have been left so far, you can’t always tell who left what - it’s just a page full of “Thank You”s. I really encourage you to check it out and participate.
Two New Ebooks
This week, there were two new additions to my collection of ebooks, both from Ellie Walsh of Living the Law of Attraction. Both 4 Steps to Creating the Life You Desire and Out With the Old… In With the New! are available when you subscribe to Ellie’s LOA Tips & News
Personal Development Partners Update
My favorite online forum, Personal Development Partners, is up to 17 electronic product downloads from it’s Senior Thought Leaders, and now includes the Manifestation Mastery Videos that I posted about last year. At $20 for a 6 month membership (about 11 cents a day), it really is one of the best values out there. Remember… these electronic product downloads are not redone “free bonuses” that you can get anywhere - they are all 100% original products that can either only be gotten from Personal Development Partners, or that you can purchase from other sources at a much higher price if you bought all 17.
One of the major changes that Aaron has made to the site this year is the elimination of the free memberships, which ensures that when you join, you’ll be interacting with others who are truly interested in creating their better lives. Success is never achieved in a vacuum… your partner is waiting for you!
*Update* Be sure to read this update on the Personal Development Partners site.

Pointers To Resources For Your Better Life #5
(5)Original content (heck, any content!) here at Creating a Better Life has been sorely lacking over the past week. When you combine the joys and obligations of the holidays with the launch of my Science of Getting Rich study blog, and the re-launch of Success Quotes dot Net and LymanReed.com, something had to go onto the back burner. It’s my hope that in the new year, I can provide useful, enjoyable content to all of my readers, whether it’s here or over in one of those other spots.
You Are Your Own Boss
While catching up on some of my own blog reading, I came across a post by Steve Pavlina called “You Are Self-Employed.” Along with Steve, I also heard this from Brian Tracy a while back, and it’s helped me to remember that, while I still choose to work as an employee at a “day job”, ultimately I’m the one providing a personal service for a sum of money. I’ve agreed to exchange my skill and time for money and benefits, and just because the IRS gets their cut first and it’s on a somewhat regular schedule, ultimately I’m the one providing the service. Steve also provides us with some excellent questions that we can ask ourselves that should help us evaluate and improve our personal services business.
Byron Katie
Um… wow! The Work rocks!
I don’t think that I’ve ever felt so emotionally free since doing a few of the exercises provided here. Now I find myself, whenever I’m disturbed, asking myself the questions and doing the turnaround. What a beautiful process.
Ebooks Added
Pearls of Success is a free ebook of quotes and uplifting poetry from Rick Beneteau, one of the creators of 10 Million Clicks for Peace.
Radio Shows
As an overflow from last week’s pointers, I’ve subscribed to both Lorraine Cohen’s Powerfull Living Radio and Anita Pathik Law’s Power of Our Way Conscious Dialogues on Blog Talk Radio. Both of these women have excellent, uplifting shows, and are well worth a listen.

Have a great week… and a Happy New Year!

(18)Do Something
Here’s a great way to participate in the spirit of giving… without spending a dime. Pass The Torch is donating $1 per comment to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. It’ll only take a minute of your time to comment, and you’ll feel great after doing so. Don’t worry, go ahead… I’ll still be here when you get back. Thanks to Karen for making me aware of this.
We all have a choice. The choice to allow our feelings about war and violence to dictate how we feel - or - to get up and DO something about making this a better world. Come see how powerful just a few clicks of your mouse can really be: http://www.tenmillionclicksforpeace.org
Free Audio Resources
The Power of My Way has a bunch of free audio interviews up from some real thought leaders in the field of personal and spiritual development, including a few from some friends of mine - Aaron Potts’ and Jerry Loper’s are up, while Lorraine Cohen’s is “being repaired” - I hope it gets up there soon! I haven’t gotten through all of them yet, but what I’ve heard so far is fantastic. Thanks for the pointer, Aaron!
After pruning back my podcast listening, I’m down to three that I still listen to regularly - the Alan Watts Podcast, the Audio Dharma Podcast, and Rick Cockrum’s Shards of Consciousness Podcast. This week, Rick really got me thinking about both my own goals and how I perceive others with his exploration of What Do You really Want.
Free Ebooks
Brian Tracy is offering his ebook “Million Dollar Habits” to us in exchange for subscribing to at least one of his newsletters. This is 315 pages from one of the masters of personal development. To get your copy, just use the signup form on his home page.
If your day to day responsibilities keep getting in the way of your creativity, check out Time Management for Creative People. It’s got some real gems of ideas to help you manage your life while keeping that creative juice flowing. Thanks for putting it together, Mark!
And now, a little horn tooting!
Creating a Better Life is an Outstanding Blog, according to Troy Worman. Thanks, Troy! There’s a lot of, uh… outstanding blogs on his list… why not visit a few of them?Have a great week, and a Merry Christmas!
